    Every section of the unit is probably relevant tothe question.It is important to remind studentsto refer back to the previous two sections(Introduction and The shrinking planet),as well as the texts that follow.Among other purposes,the task is intended to encourage students to make use of the titles and subtitles,as well as the summaries in the margin or boxes(which might be regarded as abstracts).A heading such as The sharing of sovereignty should help students to realise that there is evidence in the texts to support the argument thatthere is social convergence,despite the compelling evidence also supplied to the contrary.
