    Reading: Setting dreams
    Ss read an article about the film made by Chanel to market their perfume.
    A Read the two questions together as a class and ensure Ssunderstand them, especially vocabulary such as endorse.Point out the use of ads as a short form of advertisements.(You might also want to tell Ss that BrE also uses adverts.)Give Ss five or ten minutes to discuss the questions. Youmay prefer to ask half the pairs to discuss one question,and the rest the other question.
    Ask two or three pairs to tell the class what they discussed.This exercise is grammatical in function, but introduces Ssto the topic of the article.
    B Ask Ss to quickly do the matching exercise and check theiranswers. If necessary, ask Ss which words enabled them tomatch the questions and answers (e.g. When + timephrase, How much + price, Why + because).

    C Ask Ss what Chanel No 5 is (a perfume) and if they haveever bought it or worn it. If they are familiar with it as abrand, ask them what image it has.
    Tell Ss that the facts in the answers of Exercise B were allwrong and that they need to read the article to find thecorrect answers.
    Give them a few minutes to scan the article, then ask themto find the correct information. If necessary, tell Ss that thecorrect answers are similar to the incorrect ones instructure (e.g. that e) is still an amount of money, f) is still ayear, etc.).
    Go through the answers with the class.
